SALES OF SKODA CARS ROSE BY 9.6% IN NOVEMBER

MLADA BOLESLAV (Autofox) - Czech automaker Skoda Auto delivered 97,500 vehicles (+9.6%) to customers in November 2016, the company stated. It is the 12th month of growth in a row. "Our young and modern model range addresses increasingly new customer groups. It is pparent especially from orders of cars with more valuable equipment," said Werner Eichhorn, Member of the Board of Skoda Auto for sales and marketing.

In Western Europe, Skoda delivered 37,200 vehicles (+10.7%). In its strongest European market in Germany, the brand grew by 7.6% to 14,600 vehicles. A double-digit sales increase was seen in Denmark (1,200 vehicles, +20.7%), Great Britain (5,900 vehicles, +21.8%), Italy (1,700 vehicles, +28.9%), Spain (1,800 vehicles, +18.1 %) and Switzerland (1,600 vehicles, +18.3%). The brand also achieved growth in the Netherlands (1,700 vehicles, +9.9%), Austria (1,700 vehicles, +8.1%) and Finland (700 vehicles, +6%).

In Central Europe, Skoda sales rose by 7.6% to 16,100 vehicles. On the domestic Czech market, the brand reached an increase of 4.2% with 8,000 cars delivered. In Poland, deliveries increased by 17.5% to 4,700 vehicles. In addition, the brand was able to increase sales in Croatia (200 vehicles, +33.3%) and Slovenia (500 units, +8.8%).

In Eastern Europe (excluding Russia), the automaker reached sales of 3,200 vehicles (+9.1%). The numbers grew significantly, particularly in Ukraine (400 units, +62.8%), Bosnia and Herzegovina (100 vehicles, +68.7%) and the Baltics (600 vehicles, +34.9%). In addition, Skoda recorded double-digit growth in Serbia (600 vehicles, +11.8%) and Bulgaria (300 vehicles, +19.8%).

In Russia, Skoda reached sales growth of 3% with 4,800 cars delivered. In its largest market in China, it grew by 12.1% to 30,000 cars.

In overseas markets, Skoda recorded sales growth of 34.6% with 1,800 cars delivered. The brand was able to increase its sales mainly in Australia (400 units, +14.7%) and New Zealand (100 cars, +128%).

In November, there were 3,000 Citigo cars (+7.2%), 17,100 Fabia cars (-0.2%), 19,500 Rapid cars (+25.1%), 38,000 Octavia cars (+6.7%), 12,100 Superb cars (+34.9%), 7,500 Yeti cars (-13.7%) sold
